Vehicle buying term

Re-invoice

A later invoice commonly used when a company or dealer transfers ownership of a vehicle.

What it means

A re-invoice is a later ownership document. It should make sense with the prior ownership chain and the seller’s identity.

Why it matters

A re-invoice can be normal, but it deserves careful review because it changes how you verify the ownership history.

What to check

  • Ask which previous document supports the re-invoice.
  • Confirm the seller or company named in the paperwork can legally transfer the vehicle.
  • Compare all vehicle identifiers against the car and REPUVE result.

Turn the checklist into an inspection

Upload vehicle photos and documents to get condition, market, and legal context in one AutoBuddy report.
